My name is Mitch Webster. As principal of Petersburg Elementary I would like to welcome you to our school website and give you some general information about myself. I grew up in nearby Moorefield and graduated from Moorefield High School in 1979. I attended West Virginia University where I received a B.S. Degree in Elementary Education and a Masters Degree in Education Administration. I began my teaching career in Grant County in 1984 as a classroom teacher at Dorcas Elementary. In 1996 I became a Teaching Principal at Dorcas. During this span in my career I was also the Head Girl’s Basketball Coach at Petersburg High School. I have many pleasant and memorable moments from both my teaching and coaching career during that time that I will cherish for a lifetime. In 2005 I became the principal at PES. To this point, it has been an extremely enjoyable and rewarding experience. We have a great staff and the kids at PES are super. I always keep my office door open and invite any parents to stop by and see me anytime if they have questions or concerns.  My wife Michele also works at PES. She is a Title 1 Reading Teacher. We have two children, Jon and Alisha. Jon is a senior at WVU where he is majoring in math education. Alisha is a junior at WVU majoring in Speech Pathology. I have thoroughly enjoyed my experiences in the Grant County School System to this point. I also look forward to my continuance as principal at PES. Thank-You.

                                                                        Sincerely,                                                                         Mitch Webster
